Planning for the First Meeting
In the beginning stages of the additional facilities across the country, there will be strategic planning sessions held to determine what human capital will be necessary in starting up these new locations. In planning for the first meeting, there will be steps and procedures taken to ensure it flows smoothly and is executed effectively. Before diving into the planning, as the senior human resources manager I would create clarity on what we are searching for in human capital, which is the collective value of the capabilities, knowledge, skills, life experiences, and motivation of an organization's workforce (Valentine, Meglich, Mathis, Jackson).
First, I will analyze the needs of the meeting. According to the Arkansas School of Business, identifying the needs of the meeting and its purpose is keen to successful meetings and reaching the desired outcome (2014). The meeting's agenda will go through needed job fairs and requirement strategies to target and hire the desired employees for the additional locations. In accordance with each position, advertising strategies for the opening will be sent out through different mediums. These mediums will include posting listings on social media platforms, running Google Ads for the new locations with hiring prompts, and postings on LinkedIn, InDeed, and the leading job search sites. Further than this, we will perform in-depth research on the best reviewed staffing companies in each area of the new locations so that we can have connections and assistance with hiring from outside sources if necessary.
The Starting Point
A good starting point for hiring quality staff will branch from current connections and creating effective postings on job search sites. Along with these postings, advertising for the new positions at the locations will be performed based upon their location and the target audience we are seeking to reach. The interviewing processes will be held by trained individuals who can effectively seek out the fitting candidates.
Biblical Integration
As the planning stages unfold and in my position as a Senior human resources representation, I would instill the Biblical worldview of the importance of planning wisely. As stated in Proverbs 21:5, Jesus' word states, "The plans of the diligent lead to profit, as surely as haste leads to poverty" (New International Version). As the organization dives into this new and exciting growth the planning stages for each location will be carried out with the influence of this scripture.
