Assignment Content AGENCY PROFILE ASSIGNMENT This assignment is designed to ensure that you have knowledge of the client population served and the functioning of the agency in which placement is being completed. In order to do this, the student should consult whatever agency resources are required and conduct their own research from at least one current and respected source, then write a report covering the following: 1. Agency name, address, phone number. 2. List the agency mandate, mission statement and funding sources. In your own words explain what these things mean. 3. A general description of the agency's programs, including a more detailed explanation of the program or service in which you are most involved. 4. Who are the service users? Explain some common challenges or issues they may face, the strengths they may have and what they may commonly expect to get out of engaging in the service at your placement. 5. Refer to the Scope of SSW Practice covered in Week 2. What aspects of the Social Service Workers scope do you feel relate to the work done at your placement.
