Food vendors were just as negotiable. Their discounts on fruit baskets progressively increased during the day as they balanced off inventory left with projected sales. One time, we stayed until close and they sold their baskets for $2 each. This particular vendor said that her husband was transporting new fruit the next day, strawberries!
