Sue is a second semester Durham Tech student pursuing an Associate in Engineering degree. She wants to transfer to UNC Charlotte to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with the hopes of working in the Charlotte area. Her father and uncle are both engineers, and she wants to follow in their footsteps. In her free time, she enjoys taking apart electronic devices and putting them back together to see how they work. She also enjoys spending time outdoors hiking trails and rock climbing.

To prepare for successful transfer to UNC Charlotte, Sue needs to complete MAT 172 Precalculus Algebra with a C or higher. She took MAT 171 last semester and barely passed with a C. She is struggling to pass MAT 172 and is contemplating withdrawing from the course. She finds that math is a subject she does not want to devote a lot of time to study.

Sues Focus2 Work Interest assessment results were Realistic, Artistic, and Investigative. She values independence, working outdoors, and creativity in the workplace. She thrives in environments where can manage people, time, and money. She currently has a part-time team lead job at Whole Foods and is charged with keeping employees on track and ensuring registers are cashed out properly. She meticulously tracks her spending using a spreadsheet and packs her meals to save as much money as possible.
