How does this bank's policies compare to those of the U.S. central bank? I chose to look into the monetary policy of the bank of England. Right off the bat, the article states that inflation is too high. Our policy also states that inflation has been rapidly increasing. Both banks state that inflation is hitting hardest in energy and food. To combat that, England will raise interest rates in order to drop inflation. "In total, since December 2021, we have increased our interest rate from 0.1% to 3%." This hits house owners with mortgages and businesses with loan rates. Overall these are very similar changes and adaptions that the US is facing Would those bank's polices work in the U.S.? Since the whole world is experiencing similar problems (because we all endured COVID and we all want to help the war with Ukraine) The policies are very similar and could work in our country easily. Which countries policy's are the most effective at achieving their goals? Looks like the higher interest rates are the biggest player in the monetary policies and are everyone's "go-to" in terms of fixing the biggest problem at hand; inflation
