CASE: INNER SIDE OF LEADERSHIP $$II

Tapan, a disciplined manager, who took pride in his ability to micromanage and always be in control, is now seeking even higher positions in his career. Therefore when he is assigned a new project he hand picks his team.

At the beginning of the project

Tapan selects Uma as the head for strategy. Uma has a reputation for attentiveness to detail which gave Tapan the confidence that she will be effective in minutely analyzing existing strategies and practices and identifying areas for improvement. He chose Ajay and Harish to join her team since he knew Ajay to be innovative though with a tendency to be impulsive. Harish enjoyed a reputation of being hard working and a good team player.
