Continuing my focus on the Walmart supply chain this week. Walmart has received a lot of awards based on their logistics strategy. They have been deemed as the best company for the customer appeal while Amazon has been the best at innovation in their services (Johnson, 2022). The supply chain focuses on getting the products to the customer in the shortest time possible through the use of inventory data sharing with the manufacturers and suppliers. This allows for easier forecasting of the customer demands and the shifts in the market needs as seasonal items change.

Value is created for the customer through the availability of products and the way that a customer can order whatever item is needed. Then the customer has the option to return the product within 7 days in the event that their needs are not met. Walmart has been working more and more towards greater efficiency of their supply chain that brings in the best competition on their pricing in order to pass those savings onto the customers pocket. In the next five years Walmart is expected to us the Internet of Things (IoTs) technology to provide customers with better customer service.

The only thing I would like Walmart to do better is to update the App in a more efficient manner. The App can be used for any purchase but always has a bug in it and needs an update through the system and then sometimes still doesn't provide the best update. If the improvement of that would happen with their current supply chain capabilities then there would be no issues with the process.
