Please respond to the following statement include if you agree or disagree. 5-7 sentences is sufficent.

Scanning the external environment plays a significant role in strategic planning because external variables are able to have a significant impact on the business itself. When scanning the external environment, strategists are scanning for competition, foot traffic, and target demographics (Hitt, Ireland & Hoskisson, 2017). If an unexpected event were to occur there would have to be some sort of internal strategy within the organization in order to deal with uncertainties. As a strategic analyst I would study the industry I am working around, and know the potential unexpected events that could occur. A strategic analyst would have to expect the unexpected, and would have to have a list of the main unexpected events that could occur and solutions to those potential events.
