Please solve the follwing question using excel and show all excel formulas and solver constraints:
Nortrom is a car battery manufacturer. The table below shows the forecasted demand for the initial four
months of the year.
At the year-end, the warehouse is completely empty. So the starting inventory is zero. The maximum capacity
of the warehouse is 3500. Holding costs for both types is $0.05 per unit per month. The manufacturer wants
to have at least 1600 AE 230s and 1800 AE 330s in the warehouse at the beginning of May.
Production costs are $1.50 per unit for AE230 and $1.80 per unit for AE 330. Because demand for raw
materials is rising, production costs are expected to rise by $0.10 each month for the four months.
Labor to make model AE 230 is 0.45 hours per unit; making model AE 330 takes 0.50 hours of labor. To meet
worker scheduling requirements, management has agreed to schedule at least 2,000 hours per month of
labor. As many as 200 extra hours per month are available to management at the same cost. What should be
the production schedule for AE 230 and AE 330 for the four months?
