• P = 50% (which is the percentage available based on the fact that the problem said assume equal Male to Female ratio)
• K = 5 - The selection of At Least 5 Male Kittens are selected out of the 7 which means that the minimum number in the litter is 5 males but if you select anywhere from 5 to 7 males you are good to go!

Go to the Binomial Distribution Chart:

• Step 1 Go to the Table that identifies as N = 7
• Step 2 Go to the horizontal and identify .5 (50%) Column
• Step 3 Scroll down to K = 5 and it = .16406 (16.406%)
• Step 4 Then scroll down to K = 6 and it = .05469 (5.469%)
• Step 5 Then scroll down to K = 7 and it = .00781 (.781%)
• Step 6 Add ALL 3 probabilities up .16406 + .05469 + .00781 = 22.656%

The Probability of Selecting At Least 5 Male Kittens is 22.65%! AND I did not have to use a formula!
