Before Lecture

Before lecture, skim the Homework Document from Module 2 (JavaScript UI, from our course web page). Also, study Tutorials - JavaScript down to "Where to put JavaScript". You should have learned about these JavaScript topics:

• JS flow of control

• JS data types (including functions as a data type)

• Javascript functions and scope

• getting input from the page, showing output to the page

• accessing page elements by id

• accessing page elements by CSS classname or HTML tag (and iterating through these).

• event handling

and select any example that illustrates one of the above topics (or anything else presented that you find interesting). Click until you get to a Try-It-Yourself link that teaches you something.

1. TOPIC: write down the topic of the Try It Yourself link that you chose.

2. INITIAL LINK: Paste that Try-It-Yourself link into this discussion.

3. LINK TO MODIFIED CODE: Modify the code (in the Try It Yourself page) and click the save icon (gives you a link to your modified code). Paste that in here as well.

4. EXPLANATION: explain what you learned initially, then what you learned by making your changes.
