Background & Literature Review

to resolve this problem have been unsuccessful, why did they fail?
Your paper must include at least five peerreviewed sources published within the
past five years. It is ok to include older sources for historical or background
information in addition to your peerreviewed resources.
Proposed Change
What realistic changes could be made to resolve this issue? Be sure your proposed
change builds upon the evidence you acquired and described in your background and
literature review section.
Alignment with Organizations Mission, Vision, and Values
Proposals for change are most likely to be successful if the change is clearly aligned
with the organizations mission, vision, and values. A change agent who can articulate
this alignment in a persuasive manner is often successful. How does your proposed
change align with your organizations stated mission, vision, and values?

Stakeholder Analysis
Complete the stakeholder analysis as described in the Stakeholder Analysis &

people to have on your side for your proposal to be successful?

document. The table is formatted correctly in the stakeholder analysis document, so you
should be able to just cut and paste this into your paper.
Force Field Analysis
Nearly all change proposals have at least one potential barrier that could impede
successful implementation. Barriers can be administrative, temporal, financial, or
structural. The environment may not be open to change based on one or more of these
factors. The important thing about potential barriers is that we identify them and
develop strategies to overcome them. Most often, barriers can be managed through
careful stakeholder management. However, some barriers are rigid and cannot be
overcome. It is important to identify these situations early, so we dont waste time and
energy. What barriers might you encounter if you were to implement your proposed
change?
