Practice tasks

Before you can complete these tasks, you must copy the book's

practice files to your computer. The practice files for these tasks are in

the Excel$365$SBS$\backslash$Ch$07$ folder. You can save the results of the tasks in the

same folder.

Look up data from other locations

Open the LookupData workbook in Excel, and then perform the following tasks:

Sort the values in the first table column in ascending order.

In cell $C3,$ create a formula that finds the CustomerID value for a shipment ID

entered into cell B$3.$

Edit the formula so that it finds the DestinationPostalCode value for the

same package.

Open the CreateDataLinks and FleetOperatingCosts workbooks in Excel, and then

perform the following tasks:

In the CreateDataLinks workbook, create links to the FleetOperatingCosts

workbook that copy truck fuel, truck maintenance, airplane fuel, and air$-$

plane maintenance costs to the appropriate cells in column I on Sheet$1$ of the

CreateDataLinks workbook.

Close the FleetOperatingCosts workbook.

View the links in the CreateDataLinks workbook and show the source for one

of the links.

Break the link to the airplane fuel source data cell.
