Practice with Syntax (word ordering)

Use the following four sentences and rewrite them as instructed. Try and maintain as much of the original wording as possible.

I saw a field of yellow roses. They made me think of my little sister. She loved roses and she loved yellow. It was cool that day and the sun was out.

1. Rewrite these phrases into a single sentence.

2. Rewrite these phrases into one long sentence and one short sentence.

3. Begin a rewrite with "My little sister..."

4. Begin a rewrite with "It was cool that day and the sun was out..."

All of your rewrites say the same thing, but have very different syntax (phrasing/word order). Which do you prefer? Do you have any idea why?
