Did the designer place a sign at a certain point because it's where people must decide between two paths? Did they use a particular font because it's legible at distance and in all lighting? By identifying the reason behind each decision, you'll develop the analytical skills to justify your own sign placement and content choices. Professional designers rarely say "it looks good" they explain how each decision supports function, navigation, and brand identity. Your diagrams and Master Sign Content List (created in later steps) should be grounded in that same logic.
