Presentation:
This is a small group project. Your group will choose an original sample business and create a short presentation (approximately 5-10 minutes in length) outlining potential legal issues and liabilities you may face in forming your business.
In your presentation, please explain how you will structure your business (sole proprietorship) why you have chosen that structure, and any difficulties that may arise because of the structure. Be sure to discuss any potential liabilities that you and your business may confront. Your presentation will necessarily touch upon other topics in our class, including (but not necessarily limited to) torts, contracts, debtor/creditor and employment law. When possible, reference any legislation that will guide your business, and identify any particular legal issues that you need to keep in mind (for example, vicarious liability, fiduciary duties, agency law). Please make sure you show some critical analysis when discussing the potential legal issues; I am interested in seeing the potential legal pitfalls of your business, and how you proceed with them in mind.
How you create your presentation is up to you. You could create a short video or podcast, a voiced over Power Point presentation, an animated video, or any other format that you can think of that will help you explain your point. Feel free to be creative! Upload your presentation to the discussion thread on our Brightspace page. Time permitting, we will view/listen to the submissions during class.
Report:
Your group will also upload a brief report on your project. Your report will contain:
- The names of the members of your group
- The tasks undertaken by each member
- A brief summary of your presentation (approximately 1 2 pages).
- A conclusion
Can you please help me to build my PowerPoint slides with examples of every subject about opening a family Pizza restaurant? I'd appreciate that thanks!
