Write a press release for a real or hypothetical company. The press release should disseminate information about a newsworthy item related to the business.

 

How to write this assignment

• Choose a company (hypothetical or real).
• Choose a newsworthy topic related to that company.
• Write a press release using the guidelines in the “Press Releases” assigned reading.
• Write an engaging headline.
• Use the inverted-pyramid structure of news articles (most important information first, less important details later).
• At the end of the release (after the -30-, ### or End), describe the context you have chosen for the assignment (company and topic).
