Prewriting Assignment

Everyone will need to turn in a single page document, by the deadline on the syllabus, with the following required pieces of information:

The problem or potential problem you plan to examine and research within your company. What is the companys problem? Or what is the potential problem your company could face?

The company you have chosen and why.

Some details on how you are planning to use your subtopic

Either the problem or potential problem or the solution (s) to the problem or potential problem, which you have identified in your company, needs to be tied to your subtopic in some way.

Keep in mind that your subtopic needs to be narrowed down. It is also important to develop a working main idea statement. Remember, that a main idea would be considered a specific statement about the subtopic. Its okay if you dont have your main idea figured out yet (which should be a statement that addresses the problem or potential problem your company has or could have and hints at a solution (s) to such problem or potential problem). What I need to know at least in your prewriting assignment is how you are planning to use your subtopic (once again, see the bullet point above this one).
