CREATING THE SURVEY: (40 MARKS)
- Pre- Plan establish who you are trying to target (segmentation), and the questions you are trying to get the answers too
- As a group, come up with 10 (minimum) questions that will validate your idea. Questions should provide a better understanding of and validate your customer and the market
- Using Google Forms, SURVEY MONKEY, Facebook, hard copy, etc develop and design your Primary Research tool. ( I like Google Forms best, complimented with Facebook)
- As a group, discuss your GAMEPLAN for when, where and who will conduct the survey . Consider WHERE your potential target market(s) are most likely to be.
CONDUCTING the SURVEY: (10 MARKS)
- Conduct the survey to a minimum of 30 people (remember the more data the better validation)
- Relate to your surveying experience . Where, when, who and how did you conduct survey?
- How well were you received? How did you identify yourself? How easy/difficult was it to get information?
- If you had to do over again, how would you change the process/format in which you conducted your survey?
ANALYZE: (20 MARKS)
- What process did you use to compile results?
- Determine how to best present your results? (Pie chart? Graph? Written?)
THE FINDINGS: (20 MARKS)
- What did you learn from your results?
- How do results impact your idea? Do you stay the course and continue with idea or do you pivot based on determining your idea does (or doesnt) address a very REAL problem?
- What is the market potential how much $ can you generate
- Your target market still who you thought they are? How big is the segment (s)
