CREATING THE SURVEY: (40 MARKS)

  1. Pre- Plan establish who you are trying to target (segmentation), and the questions you are trying to get the answers too
  2. As a group, come up with 10 (minimum) questions that will validate your idea. Questions should provide a better understanding of and validate your customer and the market
  3. Using Google Forms, SURVEY MONKEY, Facebook, hard copy, etc develop and design your Primary Research tool. ( I like Google Forms best, complimented with Facebook)
  4. As a group, discuss your GAMEPLAN for when, where and who will conduct the survey . Consider WHERE your potential target market(s) are most likely to be.

CONDUCTING the SURVEY: (10 MARKS)

  1. Conduct the survey to a minimum of 30 people (remember the more data the better validation)
  2. Relate to your surveying experience . Where, when, who and how did you conduct survey?
  3. How well were you received? How did you identify yourself? How easy/difficult was it to get information?
  4. If you had to do over again, how would you change the process/format in which you conducted your survey?

ANALYZE: (20 MARKS)

  1. What process did you use to compile results?
  2. Determine how to best present your results? (Pie chart? Graph? Written?)

THE FINDINGS: (20 MARKS)

  1. What did you learn from your results?
  2. How do results impact your idea? Do you stay the course and continue with idea or do you pivot based on determining your idea does (or doesnt) address a very REAL problem?
  3. What is the market potential how much $ can you generate
  4. Your target market still who you thought they are? How big is the segment (s)
