Each layer takes $2$ microseconds for any data integrity activity, e$.$g$.,$ insertion of error detection code,

detection of error, creating or processing ACK$/$NAK$,$ etc.

Only one NAK is sent by the receiver $($HARQ or ARQ$)$ in case of error resulting on one retransmission of

the packet by the sender$,$ if required. No further NAKs are sent.

Neglect the time associated with non$-$error handling activities, e$.$g$.,$ routing headers etc.

Neglect the error associated with transmission of small ACK$/$NAK packets

For the Transparent ARQ mode, associated channels do not involve use of HARQ.
