Problem 2. Strain-Hardening and Annealing (20 points)
You have a cold-worked \(\mathrm{Cu}-30\mathrm{wt}\%\mathrm{Zn}\) rod 0.600-in. diameter. The rod has a very low ductility, only 5\% elongation. You want to obtain a 0.2 in-diameter rod with a minimum tensile strength of 60,000 psi, and a minimum elongation of \(15\%\). What cold-working/annealing procedure would you follow? Fill out Table 2, specifying all the steps in the procedure, the rod diameters before and after CW , and the \(\%\mathrm{CW}\).
Note: The maximum cold work is \(75\%\)
