Problem 4 Consider the following frictionless system (note that "frictionless" means the ball will slide, not roll, which is good since we don't know how to do rolling yet). The ball begins moving from rest, from a location 100m up an inclined surface. After a section of level (also "frictionless") ground, a large wedge is placed a few meters after the first incline as in the figure below. (a) What is the acceleration along the second, new, incline? (b) Assuming that no bouncing occurs at the bottom where the two inclines meet the ground, how far will the same ball, again neglecting all friction, travel up the new incline? (Assume the initial speed the ball starts sliding up the second incline is 22.5.) (c) If the ball travels all the way up to its highest point on the new incline and travels back down to the original one, describe how far up the original incline will it go.
