This problem is similar to Problem $4,$ but it introduces you to borehole $(BH)$ logs$.$ BH logs are the way geotechnical engineers represent soil types, soil properties, and test results down a soil profile. Information in a BH log comes from data collected during drilling and sampling, and data subsequently collected through lab tests.

There is a BH log for a drill hole called B$-1.$ Take some time to get familiar with the way information is represented in the BH log$.$

Natural water contents, Atterberg limits$,$ and fines contents were determined for two soil samples. Determine their classifications according to the Unified Soil Classification System and compute liquidity indices for their in$-$situ condition:
