Problem 7: Please identify if its a closed or open system An insulated, electrically heated tank is filled to capacity with 200 kg of hot liquid water at 90 C when a power outage occurs. Cold water at 10 C is then supplied to the tank at a constant flowrate F which we dont know, while water is continuously drained from the tank via an overflow at an equal rate. The temperature of the water in the tank is measured 10 minutes after the power outage occurs and found to be 30 C. Assuming that heat losses from the tank are negligible, calculate the flowrate of water F (in kg/min) flowing through the tank. (Cp = Cv = 1 cal/g-C for liquid water.)
