$1.$ Set a planned start date for the first Monday of May $2024.$

$2.$ Enter the task data into Microsoft Project $2016$ including precedencies and resource allocations. Don$$t

forget to enter zero for milestone durations.

$3.$ Create the Gantt chart. What is the critical path?

$4.$ View the network diagram.

$5.$ Add a cost column. What is the total cost?

$6.$ For every week the project is in execution $$100$ of overheads are added to the project cost. Add a

hammock task to allocate these overhead costs to the project.

$7.$ Generate a resource histogram $($resource graph$)$ and investigate any overloads. Explore levelling

options. What effect do these have on the project duration and cost? How would you eliminate

overloads? You don$$t really have a project plan until you allocate resources!

$8.$ Observe how the project cost changes when the duration of the project changes. What causes the costs to

change?
