Problem: Traditional libraries were built on manual library systems for centuries, but automated library management systems are gradually replacing them because they are more effective, accessible, and feature$-$rich. MPSH Community Resource Centre's librarian has faced several challenges utilizing a manual library items and loans system. Three key challenges are:

Ineffective Loan Procedures: Borrowers wishing to check out items may have to wait a long time due to ineffective and slow manual loan procedures. Further complicating the borrowing procedure, manual lending systems can not have features like automated reminders for past$-$due items since the librarian determines each return date using a calendar at her desk and manually overdue charges.

Restricted Accessibility: Youths and children frequently have limited access to the manual library systems at MPSH$.$ For those unable to visit the library in person, it may be necessary for them to physically visit to check out or return items. This can be problematic and result in reduced visits after the competition.

Errors in Manual Record$-$Keeping: The laborious nature of record$-$keeping is one of the main issues at MSPH$.$ It can take a lot of effort and be prone to error to manually maintain correct records of library materials, borrowers, due dates, penalties, and other pertinent information especially that now there is an increase in borrowers.

Limited Reporting and Analysis: The correct platform was also not being utilized since Ms$.$ Kentura was utilizing a word processing application to do her daily and weekly reports. Due to the potential absence of comprehensive reporting and analysis features in the MSPH manual library systems, the librarian may find it challenging to obtain information on popular titles, overdue books, and borrowing patterns. Decision$-$making procedures about resource allocation and collection development may be hampered by this restriction.
