In my previous work environment as a postal employee, two significant problems align with organizational behavior (OB) concepts: communication breakdown and low job satisfaction.

Communication Breakdown: Ineffective communication, a central topic in OB, was evident through unclear work assignments, lack of proper training on machinery, and limited feedback channels. These communication barriers resulted in confusion, inefficiency, and decreased productivity. According to OB theories, clear communication is essential for role clarity, task coordination, and teamwork. The lack of such channels hindered employee effectiveness, leading to a chaotic and disorganized work environment.

Low Job Satisfaction: The demanding work schedule, frequent denial of leave requests, and lack of work-life balance led to low job satisfaction. OB concepts emphasize the importance of employee well-being, recognition, and work-life balance in fostering motivation and engagement. Without opportunities for recovery, career development, or acknowledgment of efforts, employees in my previous workplace felt undervalued and overworked, contributing to high turnover and absenteeism. This aligns with OB's focus on job satisfaction as a key driver of employee retention and organizational commitment.

Both issues are rooted in foundational OB principles, demonstrating the need for improved communication systems and better employee engagement strategies to foster a healthier, more productive work environment.
