PROCESS OUT LINE The process is built up on solid state reduction of iron ore by using sub-Bituminous coal as reductant under controlled atmosphere at desired temperature and pressure. The rotary kiln of more than 80 M. length and more than 4 M. dia, is designed in such a manner that solid feed stock moves under kiln bed in touch with the gaseous atmosphere throughout the length of the kiln where reduction reaction continues to get desired metallisation at the time it reaches discharge end. The hot reduced materials need to be cooled to 90c to avoid reoxidation for that hot materials processed in cooler of 30 M long and4 M dia, vith positive pressure and brought to desired temperature in the same principle of rotary action. The materials removed from the kiln and after magnetic separation becomes Sponge Iron. It is a product substitute of scrap and raw material for Electric Furnaces for making steel.
