As you were out several things transpired, that evening Stephen was evaluated and treated in the hospital for several days for something surrounding his heart. He then provided a note that put him out of work for until 09/08. We also received notification from HR that he was going on a extended FMLA. Stephen then went to his doctor and was cleared to return. While out we spoke with the girls, and both staff involved. Both staff has entirely different accounts, Stephen the third staff account was similar to Ms. Doreen who stated no one was assisting him during this incident, he was attempting to gain control of the situation. She reported that Cordelia continued to attack him repeatedly, he attempted to remove himself from the situation several times, one instance they described after he couldn't gain control and was repeatedly asking for help, he attempted to get up as both him and the youth fell down during the restraint process. He stated he did push down on Cordeila in an attempt to get up off her. He stated and Doreen confirmed that he then entered another youth's room in which Cordelia followed in an attempt to attack him again with no one attempting to assist. They both stated that he then ran down the stairs to leave out of the home, in which Cordelia jumped on his back. Doreen described Cordelia punching him forcefully while he was blocking and trying to escape. He eventually gets out of the home, in which staff member Ayannah followed him with all of the girls, and he entered into his vehicle to await the police and EMS and all of the girls followed him yelling all sorts of profanity. Lee confirmed that when he arrived to the home, all of the youth were on the porch with staff yelling and screaming while he was in his vehicle. Spoke to detective Simpkins with Mount Holly Police who reported that based on the information he obtained after interviewing all of the staff involved, they would not be moving forward with charges. I was awaiting your return to get your thoughts on how we should proceed as I was not comfortable with suspending him unsure if he would take legal action or feel as though we were automatically accusing him despite receiving various accounts; Stephen came back Tuesday and is currently placed in Reily until further notice.
