PROJ2203 Case Study Scenario Context: Your group has been assigned the project planning team for XYZ Inc. XYZ Inc. is a successful social media gaming company. Over the past year its major game app has been a remarkable success - however the game has become saturated in the marketplace and customers have demanded a new and improved version! The CEO of XYZ has charged your group to act as the project planning team to design, build and launch of the new game at the International Game Trade Show in 8-months time. The total budget for the project is $25 million. XYZ Inc. has a staff of 100-people, and has a traditional CEO/VP/CTO/CFO leadership team structure. Additional departments include operations, development, sales and marketing. The leadership team is supportive except for the CFO who is weary to spend additional funds in the current marketplace. The operations and development team are able to assist in the new design, however several key staff in each team remain unenthusiastic, believing the current version of the app meets the customers needs. XYZ Inc. is a publicly traded company, and belongs to the International Game App Association. The game app industry is hypercompetitive, and consumer expectations shift sharply and rapidly. With this case knowledge begin building the project planning phase documents within your designated project teams.
