Project $1$: Smoke's Kitchen

Smoke's Kitchen has decided to branch off into the beef business believing its Smoke Seasoning customers would enjoy purchasing grass fed beef to cook up on the grill, seasoned to perfection. Smoke decides he wants to buy and raise Charolais cattle on his family land in Easleyville, LA$.$ He calls up a rancher in Texas who raises these beautiful French cows and he agrees to sell Kirk $10$ momma Charolais cows at $$3000$ per cow and $1$ stud bull for $$5,000.$ The two agree the cows will be delivered to Kirk's land on Valentine's Day, February $14,2024.$

On the date of delivery, Kirk and Texas rancher "Bob" text back and forth about the cows and the delivery time. When he arrives after $6$ p$.$m$.,$ it is quite dark in Louisiana cattle country. Kirk and the rancher shake hands and Kirk helps get the cows out of the trailer and onto his land. Bob then hands Kirk a Bill of Sale with the price listed and the number of "Charolais" cattle brought it$,$ Kirk signs this paper but does not really read it and Kirk hands him a check for $$35,000.$

Once off Bob's trailer, immediately, these animals start running wild, knocking down fences and end up in another part of the farm. However, Kirk and Bob count the cows and believe they are all still penned up$.$ Bob then rides off into the night and it is only then that Kirk realizes he only has $9$ momma cows. One is missing. Then, Kirk hears it $-$ a car crash. He rides to the front of the farm and realizes the missing momma cow has gotten onto the highway and a truck has collided with her. The truck is damaged and the cow is probably hurt too, but she runs into the woods. Kirk spends the next day apologizing to his wife for missing their Valentine's Day meal and looking for the missing momma cow as well as finding out if he has insurance coverage for the cow$-$car collision!
