Overview

Project $1$ features the first stage in the project Requirements Traceability Matrix $($RTM$).$ The RTM lists the requirements in a table for use by MIS.

Submission instructions:

You are the lead designer for a new information system $($IS$)$ for ten years in the future. Answer the questions below and submit two documents that introduce your information system project and its requirements.

In this assignment, you will create two documents using the templates, in a one$-$page report, open the MS Word template and describe your information system by answering the questions below. In the MS Excel template, list two requirements on the Requirement Traceability Matrix using the process module $1$ Requirement Traceability Matrix exploration.

$1.$ Select a software process model for managing the information systems project. Will you use the Waterfall Model or Agile Method?

$2.$ What kinds of data does the information system store and analyze? Select an industry and a type of data that will be important ten years from now.

$3.$ Identify the users. Are they from departments internal to this company, or are you working with partners from other companies?

$4.$ Describe two requirements that identify what the users need from the information system. What kinds of data will they store, and what kinds of outputs will they need, such as dashboards, models, charts, and reports?

$5.$ If you base your future IS on an existing company, give your company a great fictional name.
