1.0 Construction Details
The dimensions and levels of the structure are shown in the sketch shown in drawing.
The structure will be supported on load bearing 750mm diameter CFA piles below the base slab, on a grid similar to that indicated by the circular elements on the drawing.
Ground level is +0,50m AOD
Oversite blinding concrete is 100mm thick.
750 diameter reinforced concrete columns, which are centered on the load bearing piles above, extend through the basement.
A steel Framed structure is then constructed above using the same column spacing.
The steel frame consists of column sections 356 x 368 x 177 Universal Column and beam sections 356h x 171w x 57 Universal Beam in both directions.
Construction of reinforced concrete elements involves the following activities:
Task Rate Maximum Resources Other information
Setting out 1 day per activity 1 site engineer
Erect formwork 6m^2 per joiner / day 3 joiners (carpenters)
Fix reinforcement 1 fixer / tonne per day 3 steel fixers 1 tonne /10m^3 of concrete
Pour concrete 100m^3/ day / gang 1 concrete gang (of 4 workers)
Strike formwork 30m^2/ joiner per day 3 joiners (carpenters)
Also assume the following for other activities:
Task Rate Maximum Resources Other information
Mobilisation (preparation) for piling 2 days
Demobilisation
after piling 1 day
Piling 5 piles / day Includes drilling, concrete and reinforcement
Excavation 200m^3/ day
Structural steelwork 4 tonne / per man per day 1 team of 3 steel erectors
