The firm was given sub contract to analyse and design the Masonry wall using SANS and also design the same with any other Standard worldwide and compare your design parameter.
The details of the wall is given below:
The masonry wall conforms with all the requirments as set out in Table of SABS : Part K Walls. The Wall consists collar jointed brick wall supports a concrete tile roof on braced timber trusses, providing simple lateral support at the top. The truss is supported on the wall plate which in turn is supported o the centreline of the inner leaf of the wall Figure The wall is mm high and is contructed from MPa brick units set in Class I mortar.
Assume manufacturing and construction control condition.
