  1. Resources
  2. Responsibilities
  3. Work packages and WBS
  4. Responsibility Assignment Matrix
  5. Risk factors
  6. Budget

  1. Resources- You need to identify all of the resources that you will need to complete the project. This may include what research needs to be completed, what tools or supplies might be needed, what people might be needed to successfully complete the project. You should list all required resources to complete the Objectives. Acquiring resources should then be built into the Schedule, as one or more of the project steps.

  1. Work Packages and the WBS- Work packages are all the "to-do's" that must be accomplished to complete the project -both team and individual assignments. They are the steps that need to be done to do the project. Each team member should list their individual action items and then review them with their group, to ensure that all angles and responsibilities are covered. You will then create a WBS that organizes the work packages into major deliverables for the project.

  1. Responsibility Assignment Matrix- Your team should be able to clearly define which team members are responsible for which work packages to build a RAM.

  1. Risk Factors - Most projects can be put at risk with unforeseen circumstances. What if a project team member gets sick? What if the resources you need have increased in price? A good project manager is equipped with a back-up plan, which should be outlined in the Risk Factors section.

  1. Budget -project manager must calculate all costs associated with the project and ensure that sufficient funds are available, identifying the source of funds, as well as the risk factors associated with going over budget.
