As the Project Manager for the Northern College Computer Store, you have developed a Project Charter and Critical path (using MS Project) and now you will develop the full budget for this project using the below information of detailed costs for each of the tasks outlined previously in Assignment #2.
Key Objectives of Assignment #3:
For the Computer Store Project Build a project budget based on the cost inputs provided and then add into the Resource Sheet in MS Project.
Task 1) develop the financial/cost summary for the project in excel using the detailed information provided below and,
Task 2) input your cost information you developed for your budget into the Resource Sheet in MS Project. You can use Chapter 7 Tutorial #1 to help you see how to do this if you need additional help.

Review Chapter 7 Tutorial #1How to Build a Resource Sheet to complete the
assignment. Guidelines
You must work alone.
Use the information provided in the assignment to 1) develop a Project Budget in excel and 2)
build a resource sheet using your developed budget and enter into MS Project.
Because MS Project is too large a program to submit, you will be required to take screen shots,
place in a MS Word document, and submit via Blackboard. You should have 2 sections in your word document the first section is you project budget, and the second section is your screen shot of your Resource Sheet from MS Project
You will submit the MS Word document via Blackboard.
Screen shots MUST be your own work.
You must understand that plagiarism is an offence and will be seriously dealt with as per college
policies and may result in a failing grade.
Make sure to include your name, student number, the title of the assignment, and date on the
cover page of your Microsoft Word document. This is the document you will be submitting via Blackboard.
Assignment #3 The Financials
1. Open Excel and use the below information to develop a detailed 12-month budget for the Computer Store Project using the information and costs provided below. Develop your budget by showing key sections of the budget by supplier and show your calculations including a final total budget at the bottom of your excel document.
In your budget assume that the staff hired will be on payroll for a total of 6 months as part of your 12 month budget.
Insert your excel worksheet into your Word Document. (30 marks)
2. Open your MS Project Assignment #2 critical path to use as your starting point as you will be updating this to now include financial information. You will develop a Resource Sheet using the budget you developed above and input your data.
In MS Project you will go to View, Resource Sheet and input your information.
Save the file as the same file name as Assignment #3- Northern College Computer Store YourFirstName_YourLastName.
Take a screen capture of your Resource Sheet and paste into your word document. (52 marks)
