Project Management Simulation: Scope, Resources, Schedule V2

After playing the simulation, each one of you has to spend some time debriefing your strategies and the lessons learned during the simulation. You are asked to prepare a write-up (around 2-3 pages plus needed exhibits) to address the following questions. 1. Summarize your performance (the best run scores) in each scenario. Discuss what strategies did you attempt in managing your projects? What worked? What didnt? When discussing each scenario, please think about and briefly elaborate on the following issues. a. In Scenario A, how varying decision parameters affects project outcomes and team attributes? What causes each effect? What might explain the casual relationships you have discovered? b. In Scenario B-F, what is different about the project context in those scenarios? How have the aforementioned relationships (between parameters and project outcomes) been affected or changed? Why have they changed? 2. If you are given one additional chance to play each scenario again, can you improve your performance? How? 3. Going beyond the narrow confines of the simulation, summarize the lessons you learned via the simulation regarding the practical challenges involved in implementing projects, especially innovation projects.
