Process B

Barbaras Bakery warehouse staff monitors inventory completed items and raw materials, through its inventory system.

When raw materials reach 20% of the anticipated 30 day usage, the purchasing department receives an alert.

The purchasing agent researches the prices and material availability from current and potential vendors.

The purchasing agent selects the best price and availability combination and send a purchase order to the supplier

The warehouse receives the goods from the supplier

The warehouse records the goods and notifies accounts payable

Accounts payable pays the supplier according to the credit terms
