Project Part 2: Regression and Pivot Tables You will select a dataset on which to perform regression and to use in creating visualizations with pivot tables. You should choose a dataset other than ones used in class homework. Datasets can be found on websites such as Kaggle, data world, etc. After you select a dataset, you should record a presentation that covers the following topics: Data Understanding: Explain the variables in your data thoroughly. What does each column of the data represent? Data Visualization: Create pivot tables, and develop at least 4 visualizations depicting the information displayed in your pivot tables. For each visualization, explain why you chose to create it, and explain why the visualization is important. Is there anything that can be learned from the visualization? How is the visualization useful? Regression Problem Formulation: Why would you want to perform regression on the variables and/or columns in your data? What do you hope to learn by performing regression? Regression Modeling and Evaluation: When performing regression, which variables are X variables? And which variable is your Y variable? Interpret each of the p-values in your results. Based on your results, which variables have a statistically significant relationship with the Y variable? Write a regression equation. How well does this equation fit your data? Conclusions: Overall, what can you learn from your regression results and visualizations? And why are your results important? Provide a summary of your work. Your grade will be based on the correctness of your answers to the above questions, as well as the neatness and organization of your presentation. You are also expected to perform a regression and create visualizations that you believe are important and meaningful, and hence a portion of your grade will be based on your ability to convey the importance of your work. For this portion of the project, you are required to submit both your excel work and a presentation recording. Also if your data is non- proprietary, please submit a copy of your data. As in part 1 of the project, there is no time limit for your presentation recording, and you are not required to dress up for your presentation.
