Project :Piping System Design $(10$ Points$)$

:The problem of the project

Near the engineering faculty building at Mutah University, a group of civil and water engineers recently found an underground water reservoir. The university's administration made the decision to use this water source by excavating and establishing an artesian water well nearby. The Mutah University Chemical Engineering Department has been instructed to design a complete piping & pumping system to transport the found water to the university's Main Storage Tank. The following are included in the design task:

$1-$determination the main suitable & optimum route $($ Pipe Direction $)$ taking into account Environmental & Cost aspects.

$2-$Pump $,$ pipes $($ optimum pipe diameter & pipe schedule$),$ fitting & instruments selection

$3-$ Calculation of Energy required for selected pump to transport $40\frac{m^3}{h}r$

$4-$ Calculate available for this pump net positive suction head

$5-$ Drawing of PFD & P& I diagrams

$6-$ all Physical properties of water are to be determined at standard conditions $($ use Chemical
