Project planning and control using project management software is considered to be a very important aspect in ensuring successful implementation of projects, although it seems to be overlooked at times. As a team of project managers assigned to assist Kansanhi mine in planning and controlling on digitizing and automating of fleet management, to monitor fleet on the mine, detect collision, fatigue management for drivers, tire management, we are required to guide our supervisors on key issues with regards implementing this system on Kansanshi open pit mine. This will be on heavy equipment vehicles that move copper from mining poing to the loading bay the crusher up to the cnviorbelt taking to the smelter. Kansanshi mine is part of the First quantum mining FQM.,The mine is a copper mine in Solwezi, north western province of zambia.
