Projectile motion is observed during the parabolic flight of an object that is thrown with an initial speed composed of upward and sideway components of velocity. The parabolic fight path can be examined in two ways: the horizontal motion and the vertical motion. When a projectile is thrown its motion on the horizontal line can be described as motion with constant velocity since it has no acceleration on the horizontal axis. (Air resistance is neglected.)
