Remember, the topic you choose should be something you're interested in and something you can argue for/against. For example, researching types of "Vegetarian Diets" may be interesting, but giving a description of various vegetarian diets does not develop a specific argument. Instead, researching how "Vegetarian diets lower the risk of disease" demonstrates the basis of an argument that you can develop through research.
