You will also need to narrow that topic to a research question and a specific hypothesis/prediction that would be tested in your study, then elaborate on the research design and procedure that would be used. The goal is NOT to create a highly intricate research proposal in fact, you must operate under the following research design constraints to ensure that the research proposal you create is manageable and feasible: Your proposed research study will include three (3) variables total. These can include: three measured variables whose inter-relationships you will study, OR one IV (either of a true experiment or a quasi-experiment) and two DVs, OR two IVs (either of a true experiment or a quasi-experiment) and one DV The procedure (i.e., what your hypothetical participants will do) should be simple enough that you are comfortable explaining it clearly. Keeping it simple is totally ok and strongly encouraged!
