Working in human resources provides me with a lot of opportunities where people do not want to participate or be inclusive in DE&I. We have an entire team dedicated to ensuring that there is a culture of DE&I across the company. Most of the time this will involve sending company emails about the current week or month's subject to educate employees or have them participate in games to encourage employee engagement and morale. For example, during pride month the company will send out statements from our employees who want to share their experience. We had an employee complain during this time stating that it was against his values and that he no longer wants to be included in these types of emails. The company ensured that this type of culture is documented in the employee handbook so there is not much we can do from that perspective.
