With my experience working as a resource inclusion paraprofessional, I have acquired ample experience working with students who have diverse emotional, learning, and environmental needs through this experience I have learned how to notice the interest of the students and use these interests to address their needs and spark interest in learning and the learning environment. This work experience has also taught me how to work collaboratively with other teachers to ensure that children are meeting state TEKS, achieving the goals on their IEP's, and completely absorbing the curriculum for a deeper understanding; while also leading small group and individual one-on-one sessions independently addressing the needs of the children through my own personal approaches and teaching through my personal techniques. Lastly, my experience has provided me with learned flexibility and adaptability toward priorities regarding changing needs; through the fluctuation of my schedule depending on the needs of the individual classrooms that I assist, some days the students and teachers may need my assistance heavily with reading and adapting the assignments whereas other days they only need me for reminders to stay on task. Above all things my working experience has exposed me to an extreme passion for teaching and helping young children with diverse needs develop the foundational skills that will allow them to understand how to work with their needs rather than against them and build confidence within themselves to sore past what their IEP's, diagnosis, and stigmas may limit them to.
