The pictures of KIAs logo below does not reflect a huge difference but it does show how they are actively setting themselves apart from their brand identity in the past. There are so many fonts in the world to choose from and choosing the right one will allow you to set your brand apart without any confusion from competitors Socialectric The logo went from a font that was very direct and concise to a logo now that is in a cursive font but creates a little confusion with the letters being connected. The visual branding of KIA hasnt changed much besides the font which really didnt change much from the previous fonts. They have been consistent with the color palette being red, silver or black which allows them to maintain the level of trust that is built with customers when a brand is consistent Socialectric
My recommendations with KIA and their rebranding would be to communicate with current customers. I, at one point was a customer with KIA and during their rebranding, there would be website errors and the new layout of the website complicated what would be regular website direction to now having to learn how to maneuver on the new site. As far as the marketing and communication of the rebrand to the world, I feel like the commercials elevated the conversations around KIA and really highlighted their new look and helped customers identify KIA as a luxury car brand.
