The field of public relations encompasses a variety of topic and specialty areas. For your presentation, you will become the expert on your specialty area and will submit a video presentation that describes the area in which you have become an expert.
You can choose among the following areas: Health care industry Entertainment Public affairs Event planning Sports management It should cover your specific area of public relations, including what you see as the focus of that area, and examples (e.g., what does this area entail? What PR functions/definition does it use or relate back to?)
Including relevant information on that area of PR could include a variety of options, such as describing a case study (e.g., if you are interested in Entertainment PR, what is some event or activity that has happened in the past that PR has needed to address, and how has it been done, what was successful or useful about this application, or how could it have been improved).
GRADING: You will be graded on your description of your area of PR (25 points), examples provided (25 points), how it ties back to course materials (25 points), and your timing and presentation of information (25 points).
