PURPOSE: is to study, analyze, and propose solutions for the production planning control problems and also to analyze the economic and technological structure of the medical equipment/device sector (each group should choose one product/medical clinic or service) due to the COVID19 pandemic.

SCOPE: The report should be approximately 3000 words. Electronic copies of all references must be annexed. There are plenty of publications regarding COVID19, you are expected to refer to those as well.

GUIDELINES:

Read the following information, analyze the sector, choose a product such as medical equipment/product/device/labor. Try to find a solution for inventory, MRP, ERP, Short term scheduling and JIT for the selected product/service. The following information is giving you a brief definition of a classical system, while the current situation the Worlds facing due to a global pandemic is totally different and needs to be analyzed and a solution is needed to be figured out by your group.

So, what would you do to overcome the problems faced with medical device/equipment/product/ manufacturing, logistics, suppliers, customer satisfaction etc. at the COVID19 Pandemic situation today?

Please do analyze and discuss the issue clearly on the behalf of forecasting, inventory management, Aggregate Planning, MRP, ERP and JIT.

Please note that there will be an in-group assessment at the end of the term. With a survey, you will give grades to your group mates, so that the ones who will study, will get the points.
