Part 1 - Creating a Job Description

Your Task:

Please select an occupation from the list provided below. Your task is to draft a job description for the chosen occupation, ensuring all components of a job description, as covered in course material, are included. You must include 5 core competencies for the position in your job description.

You may decide what kind of sector the occupation reports toHealth Care? Private industry? Hospitality? You have the ability to choose.

Please ensure that your job description is drafted in an appropriate format, as covered in course material.

The job description should not exceed 2 pages, double spaced, 12 pt font. The third page of this individual assignment must be a written explanation indicating why you included the criterion you decided upon for your job descriptionyou must explain why you chose the necessary qualifications, why you chose the specific duties for the position, etc. These must be specific to the organization where your position is locatedfor example, the duties for a bartender working at a downtown nightclub would be different from a bartender working at a high end country club.

Following from the job description you have completed in Part 1, you will then draft a job posting for this position, following the format presented in Blackboard and ensuring all necessary components of a job posting are included.

Part 3 Preparing for the Behaviour Based Interview

You will now begin preparations for the selection processagain, specific to the position from Parts 1 & 2 of this assignment.

Develop 3 Behaviour Based interview questions that you will ask interviewees. These questions must relate to the core competencies you included in your job description in Part 1 of this assignment. You will include the question, as well as the competency it is meant to explore. Make sure your questions are phrased as behaviour based interview questionsreview the course material for this information.
